This is the second video in the series woodburning tips and their uses for the solid point burners. This video shows the calligraphy point and its best and worst uses.
In the end, I like this tip for straight lines and shading best.
It does okay for block lettering and dots, although I wouldnt use it for stippling or pointillism. The dots have more of an interesting triangular pattern.
It’s lousy at circles, curves, and curved lettering. I’m sure you could get good at it, but there are tips that are much easier for these uses.
