Can you please recommend us what brand of glue we can use? I’m trying to apply on lettering but when I want to brush the gold leaf the lines are not crisp and I see holes in it, I used the Mona Lisa brand. Another question….when is the waiting time? I mean do you wait for the glue to get clear/tacky and then apply the gold leaf? Or do we just apply the gold leaf on the glue as soon as we are done applying the glue and wait for the gold leaf to adhere and then brush it off? TIA

@pink786crystal: One way I heard of doing it, is you mix PVA glue with red ink or some kind of red colouring (just to make it easier to see when you put it on the page) and a little bit of water (optional, to make it spreadable) and paint or flood it onto the page where you want the gold to go. Then let it dry. Then reactivate it to make it just every so slightly sticky again by putting your mouth close to the page and breathing on it, so the vapour from your breath makes it slightly soft on its surface. Then you can apply gold sheets to it.
